What Types of Scenery Croatia Has to Offer?
Croatia offers a variety of scenery for your destination elopement. If you wish to elope by the sea you’re in for a treat, as Croatia’s coastline stretches approximately 6,000 km, providing plenty of options. One of the most beautiful Island are Hvar, Brač, Vis and Cres. However, if you prefer the mountains, you’ll be pleased to know that Croatia has 144 mountain peaks, all reaching up to 2,000 meters in height, making them perfect for easy trails and enjoyment.
When Is the Best Time to Elope to Croatia?
Croatia has a diverse climate, making it suitable for elopement throughout the year! In the coastal area along the Adriatic Sea, temperatures even in winter do not drop below -5 degrees! Since Croatia is a tourist destination, if you plan your destination wedding during the summer, you will need to look for locations without many tourists – but given that Croatia has 78 islands and 524 islets, I believe we won’t have any problems with that!

Definitely not—destination elopements are not exclusive, nor do you need to be a year-round traveler to choose one! So don’t worry. If you’re not accustomed to traveling, we will provide you with all the necessary assistance regarding travel safety and packing recommendations.
How Long Do Elopements Usually Last?
That definitely depends on your planned activities, if you stacked your wedding day with many activities and your itinerary is jam packed with different locations you’re planning to visit, then it might take around 12 hours sometimes even 2 days – but it’s totally up to you and your vision.
Is Elopement a Real Wedding?
Yes, elopements are real weddings. The only difference is that with elopements, couples invite fewer guests to the wedding and often choose to get married outdoors or in remote locations such as forests, mountains, beaches, or foreign countries.
When it comes to elopements, couples usually bring a registrar with them, but if the remote location is one where a registrar cannot come, the couple typically completes the administrative part at home and then has their ceremony separately.
The difference between large traditional weddings and elopements lies in the form of the ceremony, but both types of ceremonies are equally important and solemn.
